Vin Yin w/ Kim- Part 1 Chakra Series, Root Chakra
Vin/Yin combines the strong, yang Vinyasa Yoga with the receptive Yin Yoga. Active, yet grounding sun salutations and standing flows are offered in the first half of class to enliven the body and chase away any fatigue. After this, your body is ready to relax and lengthen during the Yin Yoga portion.
The first class is a series of 5 that explores the chakras. The first chakra, is the root or Muladhara, the base of the energy system in our bodies. It helps keep us grounded and stabilized the other energies points in our body. When in balance we feel safe, grounded in our bodies and the world.
